IMMENSE JOY

I started out with lots of die cuts. More than this actually...I made 8 cards using this design.

Assembly was pretty easy - I die cut two JOY words out of black card stock & glued them together for a bit of dimension.  I die cut 1 Holly leaf out of green card stock & then ink blended with green ink for the leaves & brown for the stem. For the berries there are 3 different berry dies and I cut them each once & ink blended with a dark red ink.  I tucked the holly branch under the JOY words.  I added thin foam squares to the back of the holly leaves.

Product List:
DIES:  Penny Black Immense Joy Die, Penny Black holly-days Die, Penny Black Semi-Circle Stackers Rectangle Dies, Avery Elle Simple Sentiment Dies
STAMPS:  Penny Black Jolly Snippets, Hero Arts Christmas Messages, Hero Arts Holiday Says (all the stamps used were for the various sentiments)
CARD STOCK:  I used green, red & black (not sure what company for the holly, berries and the JOY), the rectangle layer I used Canson XL watercolor paper, the card bases were a variety of card stock in my stash
INK:  Ink blending on the Holly - Catherine Pooler Green Tea, Distress Tea Dye
Ink blending on the branch part of the holly - Distress Walnut Stain
Ink blending on the Berries - Catherine Pooler Cranberry Fizz
Ink blending for the rectangle background - Memento Rich Cocoa
Onyx Versafine for the stamped sentiments
OTHER:  Taylored Expressions Rectangle Masking Stencil, Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on the berries

OH BABY!

It's simple but I like it!  I needed a quick card for our niece's baby shower that I'm not able to attend.  I used the Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & Dies for the Oh Baby and then I found the What's Kickin? as part of an old My Favorite Things Who's That Girl stamp set.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!

A quick guy card for our nephew who is turning 16 today!  This Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & Dies has become a favorite for guy cards!  The tiny word "dude" is from Photoplay Birthday.  The thumbs up is from Amuse Studio Make It Happen stamp set.  The Embossing Folder is called Bright Days by Fun Stampers Journey.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I've been wanting to make a few cards for family & friends who are becoming Grandparents!  I found a stamp set from Colorado Craft Company Congrats that included the perfect sentiment.  The congratulations stamp/die is from Honey Bee Pickup Lines.  The floral is Avery Elle Mother's Day.
I used my trusty Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers to do the coloring on the flowers.
The black & white accents are patterned paper on the left and washi tape on the right.

HAPPY 60th!

I've been making these cards for all the guy birthdays lately using the Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags + Dies.  We have a friend who's turning 60 this year so I thought this was perfect!
I wanted a fun inside as well and this worked out nicely.  Thankfully I have a binder of all my stamps and was able to find this combination.  I like it!

PAW PRINTS

I recently picked up the Taylored Expressions Paw Prints stamp set.  I made a few simple cards.
I used the Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & Dies and stamped the sentiment inside the circle.  The paw prints are from the TE stamp set.
The circles are from Penny Black and the paw is a wood stamp that I had in my stash.  The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Paw Print stamp set.

DUDE!

I needed another batch of guy cards!  It started with a card for our nephew who will be turning 21 in July. I used a favorite embossing folder called Bright Days by Fun Stampers Journey.  The happy birthday sentiment is Everyday Circle Tags from Avery Elle & Holiday Circle Tags dies are also Avery Elle.
The tiny words are from Photoplay Birthday - the funny words as a secondary sentiment are a perfect addition - You're How Old...Dude...Party Animal...Dang You're Old.  The tiny beer mug is from Amuse Studio Meal Plan.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE, you're turning 21!

QUICK & SIMPLE TAG CARDS

I'm finding other stamp sets that work with the Avery Elle Holiday Circle Tags dies. This Hello is from Waffle Flower Big Dots Sentiments and the secondary sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words.  I added a black dimensional heart.  Kinda love the black & white. 🖤
This tag was on my desk for a few days and I found a pre-made card base that was a good color match.  Nothing spectacular, but it's acceptable.
This was also a tag I made a while ago and wanted to get it on a card.  I found some patterned paper with wine corks on it and thought it was a good design.  Quick & easy!

LAUGHING EMOJI

Another quick guy card - very similar to the ones I did last week but I found this laughing emoji 😂 that I was able to punch out with a small circle punch.  The emoji was actually on some packaging and not even intended for use - BONUS!  The stamps are Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & Dies and the Sentiments are from Photoplay Birthday.

GUY CARDS!

I'm always in need of Guy cards.  I started with the Bright Days embossing folder by Fun Stampers Journey.  I stamped the bigger sentiment from the Avery Elle Everyday Circle Tags & the dies are Avery Elle Holiday Circle Tags.  The smaller greetings are from Photoplay Birthday.  I love the funny words to add for the secondary sentiment!  The beer mug is from Amuse Studio Meal Plan.  I love it when I can use various companies and come up with a unique card!
Here's one more using Cheers instead of Happy Birthday.  The background is Reverse Confetti Pointed Cover Panel.

ANOTHER 2021 CALENDAR

Here is another Concord & 9th calendar that I put together.  This one took way more time because I did Copic coloring on all of the floral images.  I used the Concord & 9th Annuals stamp set.  The flowers and the month images are included in the set.  The November fall swag came from Avery Elle Cloche stamp set.

I used Copic markers and a few Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers.

FALL IS THE BEST SEASON OF ALL.

I saw this card idea last year on the internet (sorry, I don't recall where)  I started out with a Taylored Expressions Slimline Mini envelope in the color Candy Corn.  I really like the size of the mini slimline, rather than the full size slimline that fits into a #10 envelope, less space to fill.  So I made the card size based on it fitting into the envelope.  I cut a piece of white card stock 7" x 6" and scored on the 7" side at 3½".  I didn't have a good speech bubble die but I repurposed a QuicKutz die and made it work.  I stamped the dots (Essentials by Ellen Abstract Paint Strokes) and the sentiment (MFT Autumn Blessings) with VersaMark ink and added white embossing powder.  The coffee to go cup is from Amuse Studio Need to Venti stamp set and the pumpkin is from Avery Elle Fall Foliage.  The girl is Ellen Hutson Voices in my Head.

BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

These were pieces & parts that I put together.  The floral is from Avery Elle Mother's Day stamp & die and the Happy Birthday dies are from My Favorite Things.  I went to Hobby Lobby on Thursday for the first time since COVID-19 and found a few 8 ½ x 11 patterned papers that I thought were interesting for backgrounds.  This random black dot paper is fun for adding something to the white space don't ya think?

CLOCHE CHRISTMAS TAGS

I made these cute tags for Christmas using Avery Elle's Cloche stamp & die set.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Let Us Adore Him.

FALL CLOCHE

I'm loving the Avery Elle Cloche stamp set and dies.  I love how it looks with the greenery at the top and then a few fall decorations inside.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Iconic Wishes Fall.  I added dimension by die cutting the cloche 3 more times and then mounted to the front of an A2 woodgrain card base.  I made a few fun Christmas tags using this set as well - stay tuned!

Pretty Florals

I love this floral spray - it is Avery Elle's Mother's Day stamp set & die.  I have used it on several cards and I still love it!  I had these two florals already colored and tucked in the pocket with my stamp set & die.  This made for a very quick card to assemble.  I added a pop of black & white & the sentiments. The patterned papers are from My Favorite Things Black & White basics 6x6 paper pad.

Lesson Learned...

This card & photo was totally inspired by Cathy Z.  I CASE'd her card and even followed her photo layout!  I love her sense of humor on her Insta-stories and You Tube videos. Anyway, I saw a card on her blog and even though I didn't have the exact same floral stamp, this set Avery Elle Mother's Day worked just great!  Sometimes when you see a card you get all crazy and start filling an online shopping cart and then you realize you have something that would work just as well.  One of the things that I can't do without now that I have it all set up is my stamp binders.  Read my post about my stamp binders HERE.  I have every stamp that I own in these binders by category so that if I'm looking for a sentiment or a specific size or type of stamp, I can page thru one of the three binders.  It was a TON of work and took me hours upon hours to complete, but now that I have it, I use it all.the.time!  I highly recommend doing it - do you remember all the sentiments that you have in every stamp set that you own?  Neither do I, but I can easily go thru my binders and find things that I didn't even realize that I had in my collection.  It's been a wonderful reference tool in my ever growing collection!
I stamped on the rough side of the Tim Holtz water color paper with Onyx Versafine ink & clear embossed the image.  I used Zig Marker colors - Mid Green, Light Carmine & Carmine Red along with a water brush.  I did color a few leaves with Copics YG01 & YG03 since there was a lot of greenery on this floral stamp.
This Happy Birthday die was tucked away in a container in my stamp room.  When my friend, Doreen visited last Fall she brought the die with her & I die cut several of them to use later.  It was the perfect size and I love the look of the stacked birthday greeting.  I did add one leaf & a few berries from another stamp set (Avery Elle Holiday Bouquet) that I tucked in under the main floral image.  I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and berries but the picture doesn't really show the shimmery shine!  I love this card and thank you to Cathy Z. for the inspiration.  Her clean & simple designs are right up my alley!
