Shirt card

Linda at Amuse Studio made this cute shirt card that would be perfect for Father's Day!  It's always a good idea to get a jump on upcoming holidays, don't you agree?  Father's Day is June 15th this year.

To make the shirt, she used the Mod Backgrounds 1 stamp set.  She stamped it with Orange ink on a piece of Melon cardstock that measured 2"W x 2.5"H. Then flipped over the stamped piece and cut a 1/2" line in the center using an x-acto knife. Then she flipped it back over so the stamped side was facing up and marked a tiny dot 3/8" from the center cut.  Using the back edge of the x-acto knife, she made a score line from the dot to the lowest point of the cut creating a V when both sides were scored.  Fold the collar back and voila!  Shirt!

She stamped the striped tie from our Father's Day stamp set in Slate ink on a strip of Pebble cardstock and then trimmed it with scissors.

Cardstock:  Seattle, Onyx, Seattle Petite Pinstripe, Seattle Petite Polka Dot

Ink:  Versamark, Onyx Embossing Powder, Static Magic pouch

Other:  Gold Washi Tape

Cutting Instructions:  

Seattle cardbase 7" x 5"

Onyx Cardstock 4 1/4" x 3"

Seattle Petite Pinstripe cardstock 4" x 2 3/4"

Seattle Petite Polka Dot cardstock  1" x 1 1/4" plus 1/8" scrap to tie bow

Score Seattle cardstock at 3 1/2" to create side fold 4-bar card base.  Stamp image with Versamark on Seattle Pinstripe cardstock; emboss with Onyx embossing powder.  Adhere gold washi tape to left side of the Seattle pinstripe layer, adhere to Onyx layer.  Adhere Onyx layer to card base.  Score Seattle petite polka dot every 1/8" (scoring the length), then accordian fold the paper.  Pinch accordian folded piece together and wrap 1/8" scrap around to close, forming the bow tie.  Adhere bow tie to card front.
