BOOKMARKS ARE DONE!

THE Ohio State bookmarks are all done!

I bought these bookmarks from Diamond Dotting Divas while I was in Phoenix.  I had a fun day with friends at the Mesa Market.  These bookmarks are colorful and were fun to put together.

FRUIT!!

This is a non-crafty post.  Any of you out there still playing Wordle every day?  In December, I had a shock when I got the word on the first try!  I had been to the grocery store and bought fruit so that how I started my game that lucky day!  Crazy, right?  HAPPY FEBRUARY!

CONGRATS!

These are cards I bought from Target but I added the Gold foiled sentiments to personalize them a bit.  The Congratulations was hot foiled and the congrats was simple, no heat required foiling.  Both turned out lovely~!

The message inside, I gold heat embossed.  These cards will be ready to go for a few new Happy Homeowners 🏡

FALL Y'ALL

I had my Book Club group here for lunch yesterday.  I couldn't resist using my leaf die cuts to add a Fall flare to my table.  I bought the paper napkins at Target and then coordinated my colors of leaves to somewhat match.  The little white pumpkins I bought at our local nursery.  The leaf is from The Stamp Market called Large Leaves Die.  I attached them to the stems of the pumpkins with hot glue.

I bought the bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes and then added the die cut leaves.  This die is from Lawn Fawn called Stitched Leaves.  I just used glue dots to attach the leaf die to the toothpicks.  Very easy but so cute for Fall.

EMBOSSING FOLDER HAUL

I purchased these Park Lane Embossing Folders at Joann's a while back.  There are some really nice designs that are fun for backgrounds on your cards.  These embossing folders are reasonably priced too!  If you can't find them in your Joann's store, some of them are available online.

OMG!

I thought this was a quick & fun combination.  And even better that the stamp was $1.10 on clearance, it was marked down more when I checked out!
OH MY GOSH, what a deal!  I've been using the tiny words from PhotoPlay Birthday quit a bit.  These will be great for guy birthday cards.

KEEP CALM

A super simple card today - I wanted to make something using this cute Copic marker patterned paper that I got in the mail from my friend, Beth Ann.  It's no earth shattering layout, but the sentiment is how us card makers have been feeling, don't ya think?

SPECTRUM NOIR TRI-BLEND MARKERS

My friend, Dona alerted me to this great deal for Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers that showed up at Tuesday Morning's.  I already had a few of these markers that I had picked up at a stamp store & Hobby Lobby over the last few years.  But I, of course, dropped everything and ran to my Tuesday's to find them.  Thankfully I was in luck and able to find 4 different boxes.  There are 6 markers in each box for $12.99.  This is a great value, they normally sell for over $30 in scrapbook/stamp stores.  I like them because there are three shades of color in one marker.  If you are wanting to do a bit of blending it sure makes it easy when you have three shades all in one marker.  I highly recommend them.  Thanks Dona for the great find & helping me add to my collection!

RAINBOW PAINTING

These cards were inspired by Cathy Zielske on this video.  I followed her Rainbow 🌈 watercolor splash of color for the background.  I used 1 Oxide ink & Distress Inks to apply the ink to the watercolor card stock with a paintbrush dipped in water.  I stacked the die cut words and glued three of the sentiments together for nice dimension.  I stamped the secondary sentiment with Onyx Versafine ink.  I used a stitched rectangle to frame the design & attached it to a black card base with foam tape.

Supplies Used - 🎨
Stamps:  Photoplay Birthday
Card stock:  Card base Black, Ranger Distress Watercolor, 110# Neenah
Ink:  Kitsch Flamingo(oxide), Distress inks Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Onyx Versafine
Other:  MFT Happy Birthday Script word die, MFT Celebrate die, foam tape, Stitched Rectangle die

HAPPY MAIL!

I recently received an order from Honey Bee Stamps and they enclosed a Thank You postcard and this image was on the back side of the card.  I quickly colored in a few of the hearts, trimmed it a bit and attached it to a red card base - quick and easy card!  Thank You Honey Bee! 🐝
I was sorting thru a box a few months ago and came across this note from our nephew, T.J.  I'm sending him this note that he wrote years ago, I'm sure it will make him smile.  He is now a husband and father to 4 children.  Uncle Jerome is proud to be his godfat-her!  🤣🙏

FRESH PICKED BOUQUETS

Maybe 2021 is the year of using what I have?  Here's another one of those things that I had tucked away.  I die cut the pretty bouquets but never made them into anything.  This is a cool concept - you buy the patterned paper & the coordinating die cuts & you are able to cut out the bows & the bouquets.  Very fun!
I decided to make Mini Slimline cards.  The size of the bouquet was perfect for the slimline card.  I used black & white patterned papers then layered with stitched rectangle & scallop from Taylored Expressions.  These are ready to go in my Birthday card stash!

THE CHUCKIE

I picked up these cookie presses at Home Goods to repurpose them into a stamping tool!  If you watch Gina K she uses what she calls the "Chuckie" to add even pressure when using the Misti to stamp.  I removed the rubber cookie press part and added a piece of felt to the bottom.  I'm hoping Shari & Laura will enjoy this new tool in their stamp rooms!  That is if their Christmas packages ever arrive to them from the US Postal Service?!  📬
After removing the cookie press, I just attached the felt to the bottom so that it will glide over the Misti.  This is especially helpful for large backgrounds or intricate stamps where you need more intense & even pressure.

MERRY

I have been enjoying the glow of the Christmas tree lights this holiday season, especially in the early morning hours before it gets light outside.  I bought a set of 4 Rae Dunn ornaments last year after Christmas.  I was excited to put them on the tree this year!  I hope things are MERRY at your house!  🎄

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

I have this Christmas decor on a shelf in my stamp room.  I love the black & white - ooh and that one tiny green bristle tree. 🌲  The letter board is always fun to decorate - this idea was from my niece, I think she saw it online somewhere.  How clever, huh?  The house is from the Target Hot Spot and the calendar was a free download from Damask Love.  I'm hoping she'll offer the calendars for 2021 too!
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

WELCOME HOME!

My friend, Dona just brought home two Schnauzer puppies and I couldn't be happier for her.   Good thing I had this Simon Says Stamp dog die cut so that I could make her a card!  I found a small circle die in my stash to personalize their dog tags - Duke & Ernie! They are the cutest pups - on this card and in real life!
Ready to go in the mail!

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Recently I made bookmarks for my Book Club ladies.  Our book was "Finding Dorothy" and I just happen to have a stamp that says "There's No Place Like Home".  It was perfect!  The bookmarks have a magnet in between the layers.  It was a quick & easy project and fun to give out at Book Club.

I MISS YOUR FACE TAKE TWO

I made a couple more of these cards - they are just that cute!  ha!  The card on the right, I paper pieced the pants in different patterned papers.  I hadn't done that in a while - paper piecing is fun!  HA!

I MISS YOUR FACE

I saw this card idea online and thought it was a just perfect for the times we are living in.  I sent this to a friend that I miss and that also enjoys college football like I do.  I colored her shoes/pants in her school colors and mine in my college colors.  The stamp set is from Ellen Hutson called Photo Lady.  I just stamped her legs on down and added a strip of thin washi tape and the sentiment.
We heard last week that there will be no Fall Big Ten football...it's such a bummer!  Fall and Football are my favorite time of year.

FACE PLANT HOLDER

I couldn't resist this cute little Face Plant Holder.  I'm using mine in my Stamp Studio to hold my glasses and various tools instead of a plant.   This makes me smile!  The box says you can draw on the container with a dry erase marker...that could be fun!
