SWEETHEART BLOOMS

This was one of the things from the Taylored Expressions Second Chance Release that I was excited about.  I already had the Sweetheart Blooms layering stencils as a free gift with purchase from a few months ago.  This die is a nice addition to add more detail to the heart.  I ran the die cut through first and then did the stenciling over the top.  They turned out so pretty - I'll get them made into cards soon!  

 

YOU CRAZY KIDS!

All Taylored Expressions products.  I used the Crab and die from the Critter Crew from the month of July.  The toffee card stock is stamped with the linen background.  I used dies for the water and the sunshine is a stencil.  I thought this would make a cute anniversary card. 

 

PRETTY FLORALS

I stamped & stenciled all these floral cards and then ran them thru with a cover plate on them to give them more texture.  The stamp/stencils are Bitty Bouquets and Bonus Blooms 1.  The sentiment set is Together in Type from Taylored Expressions.  My new favorite!  

HAPPY ANNVERSARY

I foiled and stenciled this pretty tulip pattern from Taylored Expressions called Dutch Garden. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions called Together in Type.  I have been adding a lot to my Anniversary card stash lately.  

TIMELESS BLOOMS ON WOODGRAIN CARDSTOCK

Taylored Expressions Create in Quad Timeless Blooms stencils are on my desk a lot lately.  This time I stenciled on white woodgrain paper.  I saw this idea online and wanted to try it.  It gives it such a nice texture.  It was fun to blend each layer, I used all Taylored Expressions inks.  

A bit of white splatter on a couple of the panels.  

A variety of finishes on these cards.  I used a few different frames and sentiments.  I really like the woodgrain texture for the stenciled flowers. 

And there are these pretty envelope seals that you can get to coordinate with the Timeless Blooms.  So pretty!

 

TIMELESS BLOOMS

A new Quad stencil for me from Taylored Expressions.  The Timeless Blooms were released a while go but I didn't buy it at the time so they are having the Second Chance release so I went for it this time.  It creates 4 card fronts once you complete the layering stencils.  I did use the Foils for these and I cut the one panel in half to create two cards.  There was also an idea to make book marks out of the taller florals.  I followed the colors that Taylor used on a video - I really like her use of the script background over top of the flowers.  I wanted to use my new Embossing folders so they are Tweed and Geo Blooms - these are both free with purchase of $100 during the month of February.  I really like them both!  My newest love is mixed fonts in the Together in Type sentiment stamp & die combo.  I used the Foil Its on these cards.  One of the great things about them is that you can cut them all with one die - so quick & easy!  

MORE ANNIVERSARY CARDS

This was a new Taylored Expressions gift with purchase during the month of January.  It's a layered stencil set called Sweetheart Blooms.  I followed a video by Heather Nichols for the ink colors.  Both the pinks and reds were very pretty on the Toffee card stock.  I decided to make all the cards for anniversary - I'll have a few in my stash when I need them.  

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS INK COLORS:  

Traditional colors more Red:  Guava, Cherry Pop, Mulled Wine

Pink colors:  Bubblegum, Lollipop, Dragonfruit

Green for leaves:  Green Tea with Brussel Sprouts for shading, Lime Zest with Sweet Basil for shading

ANNIVERSARY CARD

This is Concord & 9th die set turned out very pretty.  It's called Triple-Step Blooming Heart die.  I die cut it and then filled in all the colored card stock pieces.  It took some time but it was fun to do!

I made these cards a while ago to have ready to go for anniversary cards.  I used the Taylored Expressions Summer Nights Layering Stencils.  For the gold I used the Glitter Grab and then gold foil.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expression called Anniversary - The Inside Scoop.  

IN THE GARDEN

Here is the line up of inks I used on the Taylored Expressions Triple Slim In The Garden layering stencils. The colors are nice for a spring vibe.  

I splattered the cards with white ink.  The sentiments are TE Modern Sentiment Labels.  So pretty! 

FUN TECHNIQUE

This is a fun technique I learned from watching Jennifer McGuire's video.  I die cut various leaves in different shades of green and then glued them to a white card stock panel.  I ran the panel thru my die cut machine with a cover plate over top of it to add the stitched background.  It looks really cool & it is a good way to add texture without any additional bulk!  I added a quick sentiment and the card is complete!  

WATERCOLOR SPRING!

I used the Gina K Watercolor Spring card kit to make all these cards.  The kit included a beautiful 6x6 paper pad, ephemera & the fun sentiment stamp set, plus a whole lot more that I haven't even used yet!

I mostly used Gina K products for these cards.  I liked using the Gina K Master Layouts for easy card designs.  

I stenciled the background on the upper left card using the stencil that was included in the kit.  

This background was created with leftover pieces of patterned papers.  I also used a few cover plates for added interest in the background on a few of the cards.  These cards came together pretty quick, only stamping required was for the sentiments.  

COSMOS BLOOM

I saw this technique on this video by Jennifer McGuire.  She stamped the background, colored the floral with quick ink blending and then colored in the background white space.  In my cards, I colored the white space with a grey Copic marker.  I used a black glaze pen for the centers of the flowers for a striking accent.  This floral from Simon Says Stamp called Cosmos Bloom turned out so pretty!

So many fun options.  If you cut the background in half you can make two cards!  

PRETTY FLORAL

 

Ok let’s give this a try. I haven’t done a blog post in 2022!  We’re enjoying some warmer weather and I brought a few stamping supplies with me!  We had a rainy day so it was nice to do a little coloring!  

This card out quite nicely if I do say so myself!  Thanks Doreen for the happy anniversary die, it was the perfect addition!  

FOIL IT

I couldn't wait to try these Taylored Expressions Foil It - Full of Flowers panels. I already had the clear combo stamp set & the stencils so I just purchased the package of Foil It panels.  I foiled the panel first using a regular laminator & I used the stencils and ink blended the various colors on the flowers & leaves.  

 Voilà - a beautiful pattern with shiny stems, leaves and shimmery accents!

I added a sentiment strip for birthday & anniversary.  These cards are so pretty with the added shimmer from the foil.

COSMOS LAYERING DIES

I followed this video from Therese to make this beautiful floral card using the Altenew Cosmos Layering dies.  

Here's another version using the same Cosmos dies.  I really like how this white water color card stock pops off the dark slate woodgrain embossed background.  

I'm not sure what occasion that I will use these cards for so I will add the sentiment later.  

PRETTY POSTAGE METALLIC!

Happy March 1st!  Remember a few weeks ago when I posted all the Honey Bee Pretty Postage cards?  I have one more for you.  If you have been stamping a long time like I have, you may have some version of these metallic colored pencils in your stash.  I was inspired by a card that Kristina Werner did using metallic paints.  I stamped the image on black card stock with Versamark ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.  I used the metallic pencils to color in the image.  

I used a couple of fun square stitched borders to cut out the image.  I layered it on a square ivory card base.  The Happy Anniversary sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings.  

PRETTY POSTAGE

There was a whole lotta coloring going on the stamp room on a cold, snowy day!  I pulled out my Spectrum Noir markers and went to town on this Pretty Postage stamp set by Honey Bee.  

I started out by stamping with Onyx Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored the flowers in various colors and for the envelope I used a gray Copic marker C1.  I added the white dots on the envelope with a white gel pen.  

I love how the dies cut out the words, they are perfectly outlined!

Pretty Postage cards in several colors - I plan to use these cards for anniversary or birthday greetings.  I'll stamp the inside with another sentiment suitable for the occasion.   I just love this stamp set.  So fun to color!

HAPPY 20th!

HAPPY 20TH!  I needed an anniversary card so this one worked out great.  I made this card a while ago.  I added the 20th to the wine bottle and it's ready to mail!

MODERN LAYERED FLORAL

This is a stamp set I recently purchased after a recommendation from a friend, Doreen.  She was telling me about how easy it was to stamp this multi colored bouquet.  She was right and it was fun!  I love how all of these cards turned out.  I attached the bouquet to various backgrounds for a beautiful floral card.  I haven't added sentiments to all of them so that I can add them as needed.  I used the Taylored Expressions Shiplap Background stamp on this first card and added a bit of twine.  The stamp set & die is from Pink Fresh Studio called Modern Layered Floral.  So pretty!

The die cut is from Pink Fresh Studio called Diagonal Stripes with window.  The sentiment strip is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips.
