This bright and cheerful card makes me smile. This Card design is by Amuse Studio Creative Consultant, Kristine Vicente. I love how she combined the new Be Brave stamp set with Papillon. What a great combo!

Other:  Mini glue dots, Static Magic Pouch, Onyx Embossing Powder, Sponge Daubers, baby wipes

Stamp rose from All For Love stamp set on the bottom left of the card front in Buttercup Ink.  Stamp the sentiment on bottom right in Onyx Versafine.  Stamp the butterfly over the Rose images in Onyx Versafine.  Use static magic on a 2.5" x 2.5" piece of cardstock and stamp the butterfly image from Papillon in Versamark ink.  Emboss with Onyx Embossing Powder.  Using the sponge dauber, pick up ink from the Buttercup ink pad.  Transfer ink to baby wipe, then "stain" the butterfly (over the embossed area) with color.  Begin in the center with Buttercup, and working lightest to darkest add Lime, then Mermaid inks.  This technique creates a smooth, soft look.  Cut out the butterfly, cutting off the antennae, and adhere over butterfly that was stamped directly on the card.  Lift the wings slightly.

Decorative Coasters

Inexpensive tiles from a home supply store make amazing decorative coasters!

Use Crystal Clear Glaze to adhere paper to tile. Let dry completely (we let ours dry overnight). When completely dry, flood top of cardstock with more Crystal Clear Glaze. (One bottle of Crystal Clear Glaze will make approximately 10 coasters.)

PLEASE NOTE: Hot beverages can not be placed on these coasters.

Card Swap!

I recently participated in a Card Swap with fellow amuse|studio Creative Consultants!  Our challenge was to use something out of the new catalog.  I was excited to receive all of these wonderful cards in the mail.  These are a great addition to my samples that I can show customers.  Look at all the creative things you can do with our new stamps!!

Butterfly Card

The new amuse|studio Papillon stamp set is so life like.  The butterflies are just beautiful. I'm not really a butterfly gal, but I think these butterflies are amazing! I started out with a Titian solid cardstock cut to 4 bar size (3 1/2" x 5").  I stamped the butterfly on sugar cardstock with versafine onyx ink & clear embossing powder.  I colored the butterfly with Copic Markers.  I added a small layer of bellini solid cardstock to the butterfly.  I put a strip of Bellini Venetian patterned paper across the card for an accent.  I was also very excited to use my new Vintage Labels 1 die set.  I die cut the smallest of the shapes & made it into a ribbon slider.  I really love how this turned out.  The 1/4" sheer organdy ribbon worked great!  The Happy Birthday words are from the stamp set Love Machines.
