SPOOKY

This is a background stamp that I bought a while ago & never used it.  This seems to be a theme lately, pulling out stuff that I had to have and then never used!  My rule is that I can't file away anything that I haven't used so this has been in a basket for a long time!  I remember watching a video that Laura Bassen did using this background and she did color blending for a Halloween look.  It is a Simon Says Stamp Lantern Background but it certainly works as a pumpkin background too!
I did the ink blending with the domed foam after white embossing on the Neenah Solar White 110# card stock.  I used Distress inks in Crackling Campfire,  Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed and Catherine Pooler Grape Crush.  The Spooky words are from Amuse Studio Candy Corn Kisses.  The bat & ghost dies are from Amuse Studio.  The Happy Haunting words are from Taylored Expressions Harvest sentiment strips.

Amuse Studio Candy Corn Box

An adorable Candy Corn Box for Halloween treats!

Amuse Studio Products:      SHOP AMUSE STUDIO

Stamps:  Candy Corn Kisses
Cardstock:  Sugar, Pumpkin, Saffron
Ink:  Orange Splash, Lemon Whip Splash, Versamark
Other:  Pyramid Box Die, Large Circle Cut out for masking, super stick 1/4" tape, static magic pouch, White Embossing powder, Heat Tool, hole punch, Orange Satin ribbon, Papaya grosgrain stitch ribbon

Cutting Instructions:
Sugar cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Pumpkin cardstock 2" x 2 3/4"
Saffron cardstock 2 1/8" x 2 7/8"

Cut pyramid box die from Sugar card stock.  Mask off lower and upper 1/3 of box using a large circle cutout/inverse circle cut out (a paper plate will work as well).  Spray middle section of the box with Orange Splash.  Mask off lower 2/3 of box and spray upper section with Lemon Whip Splash.  Allow box to dry completely before folding and gluing tabs together with super stick tape.  Prep the Pumpkin layer with static magic.  Stamp the sentiment on the Pumpkin layer using Versamark Ink.  Emboss with white embossing powder.  Adhere the Pumpkin layer to Saffron layer and punch a hole in the upper left corner.  Tie the orange satin ribbon and Papaya grosgrain stitch ribbon around the top flap of the box and attach the tag with a knot.

Clever Witches Hat

The witches at Amuse Studio Headquarters are very clever!  Ha!
See how they created the witch hat on these cards?  I had to try it out and made up two versions of the card!

Cardstock:  Sugar, Pumpkin, Slate, Sleepy Hollow
Ink:  Slate, Seattle, Onyx Versafine
Other:  Word Window Die Set, Cupcake Toppers Die Set, Orange Organdy Ribbon, Orange Twinkle Stickers, Web/Swirls Impression Plate

TO MAKE THE WITCH HAT:  Cut oval shape from Slate cardstock using the word windows die set.  Cut the wavy flag from Slate card stock using the cupcake toppers die set.  Cut the paper white side up to allow the image to stamp correctly!  Stamp flag image with Onyx Versafine ink on the Slate die cut flag.  Pretty clever, huh?

More new products to show you that will be coming on August 1st.  Amuse Studio will be offering a set of Bat Dies that are perfect for making your Halloween Cards.  This is the medium sized one that I used on this card.  And I'm really lovin' the new Chevron patterned papers.  The Trick or Treat words are from a new stamp set called Candy Corn Kisses.
