EMPRESS MINI

Since I've been using the Empress Mini I have been so impressed with how I can easily use up every inch of card stock.  The magnetic plate is a game changer - no more taping down every little die.  It really is awesome and it makes cutting out those small pieces faster & easier!
Here's my new little Empress Mini! When I'm crafting I use it all the time.  It sits on my main desk area.  I ordered the black swivel stand from Etsy.  It's very handy because it gives you easy access when the plates come through the back of the machine.  I also love the little built in shelf for my plates.

The Chuckster

Did you happen to see any of the posts on the Gina K. Designs Facebook page about the "Chuckster"?  Someone named Chuck sent Gina a wooden knob of sorts to help her with applying even pressure on a stamp when it's in the Misti.  Lots of stampers have been making their own versions and this is what I came up with.  First, I found this Veggie Brush at Target.
The hardest part was pulling out all of the bristles - that was a task & a mess too!   The surface needs to be even so that you can attach felt to the bottom in place of the bristles.  I used adhesive felt over top of where the bristles used to be, which was super easy!  This tool glides so easily over the top of the Misti door and helps keep even pressure on the stamp - especially large backgrounds and intricate designs.
Here's what it looks like with the felt added to the bottom.

Ha - a friend sent me this little hand along with a Misti ornament - made me giggle when it arrived in the mail!  I used it for demonstration purposes on this photo with the "Chuckster".  It works like a charm for just the right pressure when using the Misti!
The Misti ornament - perfect for a crafty gal like me and that hand....✋😂

New Tape Runner!

New tape runner in the house!  Jennifer McGuire recommended this tape runner and I'm loving it!
I will still use my Tombow tape runners but I love the bigger size of the Kokuyo Dotliner.  They are both the dot liner type of tape.  I chose the Kokuyo Dotliner Long which holds more tape.  I ordered the Kokuyo runner from Simon Says Stamp.

Thankfully the refills are very easy to change!  The cost of the refills isn’t bad. The Long Dot Liner Refill has 36m of adhesive for $8.99… so about $.25/meter.

Amuse Studio Tool-rific

I made this Thank You card for my brother.

Amuse Studio Products:      SHOP AMUSE STUDIO

Stamps:  Tool-rific {SISS015}
Cardstock:  Slate, Seattle, Seattle Pinstripe
Ink:  Onyx Versafine, Seattle
Other:  Silver Metallic Washi Tape, Black Brad

I purchased this cool tool the other day and had a chance to play with it a little bit.  It is called the Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers.  It is a quick & easy way to make your own envelopes.  I used Amuse Studio Seattle Pinstripe paper to make an envelope to coordinate with my card.

Dauber Storage

I picked up this Gary Burlin Sponge Dauber Storage box when I was in Milwaukee for the Scrapbook & Rubber Stamp Expo.  Can I tell you that I am lovin' this little thing?  I decided since there were 40 slots for sponge daubers that I would use the daubers with my amuse|studio inks.  It is so handy to pull out this little plastic case when I'm ready to use them!
And of course nothing around here is put away without a label on it :)

I'm officially a gun owner.......

Are you ready to see my gun?

It is a big pink gun...

I'm going to be starting a big project making invitations for my parent's upcoming 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Many card makers have told me that they love this tape runner.  I bought it at Michael's with a coupon.

Here are the details:

Scotch ATG Applicators quickly and neatly apply Scotch and 3M branded adhesive transfer tapes. A touch of the trigger releases the adhesive and liner for quick, controlled application of tape. No mess or clean-up. Saves time and effort. This ATG applicator applies adhesive transfer tape while simultaneously removing and rewinding the liner. The liner is captured on a secondary spool, leaving only the adhesive on the surface. The Scotch ATG Adhesive Applicator Gun is perfect for all of your scrapbooking and paper projects. Each package includes one ATG Applicator Gun, 2 rolls of ¼” tape - 72 yards total and also features:

•Covered gears minimize applicator jams
•Transparent cover allows the user to keep a constant check on remaining tape
•Holds up to 60 yards of Scotch Adhesive Transfer Tape
•For use with ¼” Scotch ATG Tapes
•3M will donate a portion of the proceeds to Susan G Komen Foundation.
