SUMMER NIGHTS

I made a few cards using the Taylored Expressions Summer Nights stencil and embossing folder.  

I recently purchased the embossing folder for the Summer Nights stencil set.  A few tips that I learned - when you are done stenciling and ready to line up the card panel in the embossing folder, I would recommend taping it in place on all four sides.  If you look closely at the "friends like you" card towards the bottom, the leaves are off a bit.  This is because it moved when I ran it through with the embossing folder.  I also feel like the tension on my machine was too much.  I noticed that there were some tears in the card stock, so the next time I used less shims before running it through.  I also tried using a baby wipe on the back side of the card panel before putting it through.  I think this helped but I also noticed some warping - maybe it was a little too much moisture.  I also had some issues with the foil on the flower centers.  I used the transfer gel - it works nicely but when I ran it through the embossing folder I had one spot that stuck to the embossing folder, so I had to do a little touch up.  Overall, I think the cards turned out nicely.  I might have to try a couple more without the foiling and try some other colors.
