PRETTY PRESSED PETALS

Taylored Expressions Combo Club for June was a big hit for me.  I love the pretty Pressed Petals kit that included stamps, stencils and dies.  I used a Foil It on one of the cards.  I enjoyed changing up the background on the cards for a variety of styles.  

THE SECOND BLOOM

This is a new stamp set from Taylored Expressions that arrived in the mail on Monday.  I made these cards immediately and they turned out so pretty!  The stamp set is called Nature's Canvas The Second Bloom.  I stamped all the florals and then used the stencils to color them.  They are just beautiful.  The background on each card is the Tweed Background stamp from TE.  The oval dies and the details on the oval is from The Greetery along with the tiny words.

                  Potato Chip & Honey for the yellow flower

                  Pear & Sweet Basil for the leaves

UP FOR A CELEBRATION

Here are a few more birthday cards using the Taylored Expressions Up for a Celebration layering stencil, Foil Its and coordinating die.  I have a card ready for my niece who turns 11 later this month.  I used two different embossing folders for the backgrounds including Tiny Twinkles and Shoutout Birthday.  

 

UP FOR A CELEBRATION!

This is a fun new set from Taylored Expressions to celebrate their 17th Birthday!  This balloon set will make lots of birthday cards!  I like this soft color combination.  I started with the Foil It and then stenciled the color onto the design.  After stenciling the ink I ran it through my Minc machine to add the foiled shimmer!  I had a few spots where it over-foiled, and I think it was because the ink was still a bit wet.  I did a test on another foil it that I had inked up but I didn't foil until the next day and I didn't have this issue.  It really didn't bother me, just adds a little more shimmer!

BIRTHDAY CARDS

I recently visited Doreen and I die cut out the Happy Birthday.  I thought I should go ahead and make them into cards.  These were quick and easy and I think many of them will work for guy cards based on my color choices.  

 

BIRTHDAY BLOWOUT!

I made these cards a while ago but recently used it again.  It is Taylored Expressions Birthday Blowout Stencils and embossing folder.  I used a variety of card base colors and sentiments.  

WILD FLOWER STENCIL

I made a postage collage card with my friend, Doreen.  We were both stenciling together, it was more fun with a friend!  We used the Waffle Flower Wild Flower stencil.  I decided to add a birthday sentiment to mine.  

TE SUMMER SCHOOL

 

Last Saturday, I was in Summer School with Taylored Expressions.  We made 4 cards all using foil.  We learned a few fun foiling techniques including double foiling.  Taylored Expressions sent a kit in the mail and then we had a live class with Taylor and Susan.  If you have to go to summer school, this was the best way to go!

Sunflowers!

This is a card I made a while ago, I'm pretty sure everything was from Lawn Fawn.  I thought it would be perfect for my Mom's birthday as she lives in the Sunflower State 🌻🌻

PATTERN PLAY

I had fun with the Concord & 9th Pattern Play cover plate & dies.  I die cut the cover plate with an off white heavyweight card stock.  I used Concord & 9th card stock colors in Watermelon, Nectar, Sprout & Pistachio to add a few popped up shapes to the panel.  The Thanks die cut is from Altenew.  

Same card design - the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions called Bold Birthday.  I added a few clear dew drops to both cards.  I still have this set on my desk and I'd like to try a few more color combinations.  Maybe something more masculine.  

IT'S YOUR SPECIAL DAY

A fun card using the free with purchased flower stamps from Taylored Expressions.  Everything is TE, except for the background cover plate is Fall Flourish from Honey Bee Stamps.  Here is a link to most of the products that I used at Taylored Expressions.  

You're My Type...

I tried a few more color combinations with the Taylored Expressions Just Write kit. I have more cards from this collection tomorrow, then I'm cleaning up my desk and working something else!  

PRETTY FLOWERS

These cards turned out so pretty - even prettier in person!  I used the Spellbinders Yana's Daisies die cut. The embossing folder is also from Spellbinders called Molded Frame.  The sentiments are from Taylored Expressions Timeless Greetings.  

 

SOUTHERN BOUQUET

The stamp and die are from Amuse Studio Southern Bouquet.  The sentiment is Taylored Expressions Timeless Greetings.  The background is TE Pierced Circles.  What a pretty spring bouquet!

IN THE GARDEN

Here is the line up of inks I used on the Taylored Expressions Triple Slim In The Garden layering stencils. The colors are nice for a spring vibe.  

I splattered the cards with white ink.  The sentiments are TE Modern Sentiment Labels.  So pretty! 

TODAY'S MY BIRTHDAY!

It's my Birthday today!  Here are the handmade cards that I have received so far!  I feel really special!

GUY CARD

I decided to make a Taylored Expressions Map card with more manly colors.  I like how it turned out.  I used the Taylored Expressions Triangles die and cut out black, white and gray card stock.  I used the TE Crossroads cutting plate to add the stitched lines.  The sentiment is from TE Hello Friend stamp & die combo. 

Nature's Canvas Florals

More of the Taylored Expressions Nature's Canvas florals.  They are so pretty!  I followed the ink blending directions from Mindy Eggen's video and the colors turned out just lovely!  I used various cover plates for the background and the Taylored Expressions Timeless Greetings & dies for the sentiments.  

My Favorite Things Class

This was an online class kit that I just recently completed.  It was three cards using the My Favorite Things products that were included in the kit supplies.  It's been a few months and I finally decided I should finish up some of these classes!  

As you can see, I didn't follow the exact class instructions.  I didn't want to fiddle with a fancy fold or some of the colors weren't my thing.  I didn't make them all sympathy cards either.  I just made them into something that I would like to send to someone with the same basic layouts that were provided.  

FLORALS

I have been using this Waffle Flower postage stamp die a lot over the last few months.  I used the Amuse Studio Botanical Silhouettes for the florals on this card.  I used the stencil to do the background color on each postage stamp.  I used various Waffle Flower stamps to add the postage amounts.  It's simple but I like how it turned out.
