I was inspired to make this simple card by an idea I saw in Jan/Feb Paper Crafts magazine, Page 59 by Angeline Yong Jeet Leen.  I used the Cuttlebug Heart Embossing Folder along with the words from amuse|studio's Tweet Heart Stamp set.  I added a
twinkle heart to the center - super simple!
Hey Susan, do you recognize the background that I used for my photo?

Grillin' Buckeye!

This is my go to guy card for birthdays.  I love Who's That Grillin' Guy by My Favorite Things because I can personalize the apron.  Our brother in law is a Buckeye so I put the Ohio State logo on his grillin' apron!  The Cuttlebug Embossing folder is Spots & Dots

Anniversary Cards!

It all started with this Geometric Circles Embossing Folder that I picked up the other day at Hobby Lobby.  It reminded me of the quilt pattern called Double Wedding Ring.  I thought it would be nice to make anniversary cards.

I love this color combination of Simply Chartruese & Smoky Shadow cardstock.

I love using my cardstock from Papertrey Ink & making several color combinations.  I also have ribbon to match the PTI cardstock so it is a quick & easy project!
I am planning to use this stamp set on my parent's 50th wedding anniversary invitations (which I haven't started on yet!) The Happy Anniversary circle was perfect for my anniversary cards.  This set is from Impression Obsession called Anniversary.

I love the Memory Box Happy Halloween Collage stamp.  I stamped the image on ivory cardstock & then inked up the whole area with various distress inks.

I wanted to use Pocket Silhouettes to make a few sympathy cards.  I like to keep them simple.

You Rule!

I wanted to use this clear stamp set by Our Craft Lounge to make up a few guy cards.  I was so pleased with the way it turned out & it was fun!  I paper pieced the screw driver but other than that it was simple coloring.  Did I inspire you Susan??

Mr. & Mrs.

Dona came up with this wedding card idea & I totally copied it because I thought it was so pretty!  AND I already had the cake stickers by Jolee in my stash.  She embossed the white orange peel textured paper with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder & inked up the edge with Encore Champagne ink.  I stamped Mr. & Mrs. for the words & used my Stampin' UP Modern Label punch, then used dimensional dots to attach the words.  I added a bit of sheer ribbon & this card turned out so elegant!  Thanks Dona for the idea!

The Jolee cake stickers & Dona's card that inspired me!!

Sympathy Cards

I don't often make Sympathy cards but I saw this idea at my local Stamp Store.  I used the My Sentiments Exactly Sympathy Rubz.  The Cuttlebug embossing folder called Plants kept the cards simple.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

This is a very old PSX stamp that I have not used in years. I was a big fan of PSX stamps when I started stamping over 12 years ago. After doing a little google search I found out that PSX is no longer in business.  Anyway, I wanted to get out an old stamp & give it a try coloring with my Copic Markers. It was fun trying to use different shades of brown on the rabbit. The cardstock is Terracotta Tile by Papertrey Ink & the other color is Memory Box Jack O Lantern card. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Textile Texture). The ribbon is Bitty Dots in Terracotta Tile by Papertrey Ink.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Top O' The Morning to ya!  I had fun making St. Pat's Day cards this year.  I used Papertrey's New Leaf cardstock for the card base.  I used my favorite Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots on the white cardstock at the top & bottom of the card.  The cursive happy words are from Stampin Up Happy Everything.  The St. Patrick's Day words are from a clear set of Hero Arts called Happy Greetings (CL130).  I found the shamrock stamp at Joann's for $1 - love a bargain!  The polka dot ribbons are Papertrey Swiss Dots & Bitty Dots.  A special shout out to my Irish friends, Doreen & Colleen!

A fun Birthday Card for our niece.  I love the Orange Zest & Hibiscus Burst color combination by Papertrey Ink.  The colors were a perfect match with the cupcake patterned paper.  I used a QuicKutz Embossing Folder called Diamonds & Dots (EF-A2-008) for the Orange Zest layer.  The ribbon is Hibiscus Burst Twill ribbon by Papertrey Ink.  I added a few gem stones to a few cupcakes & on each side of the words.  Birthday Wishes is by Hero Arts Birthday Messages (CL139) & then I punched out the words with Stampin' UP's Modern Label Punch.

More Valentine Cards...

Here are a couple more Valentine Cards that I made.  I was all about variety this year, I don't think any one of them was exactly the same.  The frame stamp is by Hero Arts Frames & Messages CL130 & the small Happy Valentine's Day words are from Stampin' UP.  The card with the red on the bottom is embossed with the Cuttlebug Heart Embossing folder.  The card with the black background (may be hard to see) but I used the Hero Arts Antique Brocade.  My favorite!!

Love my Cuttlebug!

This Valentine card was fun to make.  I used the Cuttlebug Heart Embossing Folder on ivory cardstock.  I cut the embossed hearts to fit the top part of the card.  The heart stickers are Mrs. Grossman Laser Cut Brocade Hearts.  I layered the heart sticker on red & then black cardstock.  I used my Paper Piercing tool to make a faux stitching look across the card.  The "made with love" words were from a clear word set & I punched out the words using my Stampin' UP word window punch.  The red twill ribbon is from Papertrey.
