SWEETHEART BLOOMS

This was one of the things from the Taylored Expressions Second Chance Release that I was excited about.  I already had the Sweetheart Blooms layering stencils as a free gift with purchase from a few months ago.  This die is a nice addition to add more detail to the heart.  I ran the die cut through first and then did the stenciling over the top.  They turned out so pretty - I'll get them made into cards soon!

TAYLORED EXPRESSIONS CLASS

I was excited to attend this class at the Taylored Expressions Studio yesterday!

The new classroom at Taylored Expressions is so nice.  The TV screens help to show you how to make your cards.

The class included 4 cards but I made another one when I got home.  The flower card is the one I added.  The stamp set and matching dies were from Stamp Joy Virtual 2026.  It was a fun afternoon and now I have to try a new snack that Taylor recommends!  Bubs - anyone heard of them?

MR & MRS

I was excited to get the November gift with purchase from Taylored Expressions.  This pretty Flourishing Frame Cutting Plate was perfect for making a couple of wedding cards.  I die cut one in black & one in silver and was able to get two cards created.  I did the same with the Framed Script Mr. & Mrs.  All die cutting and no stamping on this one!

Here is the inspiration for my card.  This was created by the Taylored Expressions Design team.  I will have to try another one using that brick stenciled background.  I think this one may be navy & gray.  So pretty!

Mr & Mrs

A pretty wedding card using Taylored Expressions Spring Spray and the Mr. & Mrs. die is also TE.  I attached the Mr. & Mrs. to a piece of vellum so that you can still see the pretty floral in the background.

CONGRATULATIONS

This is a favorite from Simon Says Stamp called Floral Bliss.  I stamped it and used the Daniel Smith paint dots that were sent with the kit.  I know I've had this for a couple of years and the paint dots still worked just great.  The congratulations sentiment & die is from Honey Bee Pickup Lines.
Excited to celebrate with Ethan & Madison very soon!  ðŸ’‘

WEDDING CARDS!

I wanted to make a few wedding cards and this Gina K. Holiday Tapestry stamp set didn't disappoint.  I think it will be something that I use often for a variety of occasions.  I did one card horizontal and one vertical - works either way!  Today I stamped it with VersaMark ink on black card stock and heat embossed with Platinum embossing powder.  I used a stitched rectangle to die cut the layer.  I attached it to a white card base.  It's just beautiful!
I decided to stamp & heat emboss the sentiment on a piece of vellum.  Perfect to make an elegant wedding card.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things Together Forever.
This sentiment is from Colorado Craft Company called Congrats Everything.

Gold Embossing!

This is an elegant gold embossed floral on black card stock.  I thought it would be a nice wedding card.  The floral is Simon Says Stamp Sketched flowers and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Pop! Fizz! Clink! Cheers!

This is from the same Reverse Confetti Cake & Champagne stamp set only this time I made it into more of a Anniversary/Wedding themed card.

Hero Arts Anniversary

This post was prompted by Hero Arts celebrating 45 years of being in business.  They are asking that we celebrate our stamping history & inviting people to share their first Hero Arts stamps and memories.  I have no idea what my first Hero Arts stamp was but this Wedding Celebration set was/is a favorite!

Happy!

Congratulations to our niece, Emily & Shawn on their engagement!  So excited to celebrate with them next year!  This is a card I had in my stash - it is from a Stampin' Up card kit.  I changed out the sentiments on some of them.

Congratulations

Another pretty card using the Simon Says kit - patterned papers and the floral stamp.  I like how Shari only used one flower and two leaves from the big floral image.  Petite and pretty!

Love

Another beauty by Shari!  I see you are loving your Simon Says kit and creating all kinds of pretty cards.  I love how you used a part of the floral image in this card.  The muted coloring in pink and tan is perfect!

A Toast!

Another beauty created by Shari.  She used patterned papers from the Simon Says Blissful card kit and put together a nice anniversary or wedding card. A toast to the couple!

Elegance!

Two more cards using the Simon Says Blissful card kit.  The floral image is a beauty!  On the first card I gold embossed on black card stock & it is stunning!  I added patterned paper from the kit and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things called Together Forever.  The card on the right was a super fast card - I stamped the floral image with Onyx Versafine ink on the patterned paper, along with the sentiment.  I added Ebony Nuvo Drops and Onyx Organdy ribbon - layering more patterned paper.  It is simple, but elegant.  Love both of these cards!

Blissful

I had a chance to play with the Simon Says Blissful Card kit.  There is a nice idea sheet included with the kit so I started with these two.  The first card I used the Distress Oxide Ink and did paper smooching with Worn Lipstick.  I flicked some water droplets over the background and then stamped the pretty floral image with Onyx Versafine ink.  I added pink Nuvo drops and the sentiment banner.

The second card I stamped the image and then used the four Daniel Smith watercolor paints that were included with the kit to color.  I was a little doubtful that I would like them, but I was shocked at how nice they were to work with and I really like how they turned out.  I was even successful at blending some colors together!  I stamped the Congratulations sentiment from the kit and the Happy For You Both is from My Favorite Things Together Forever.

The card kit is sold out but you can still purchase the stamp set separately.  I don't normally buy card kits but this one really caught my eye and I bought two kits and gave one to a friend for her birthday.  I hope she is enjoying the kit as much as I am!  More to come...

Oxide Inks

I have been playing with these new Oxide Inks.  I really like how easy they are to blend.  On this project, I started by stamping a grouping of Altenew Striped Floral images on Amuse Studio Sugar card stock using VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.  I placed the Mama Elephant All Prettied Up scallop & stitched rectangle die over top of my stamp images.  Before cutting the die I blended the ink over top of the white embossed images.  After I liked the coverage & color intensity, I flicked a bit of water on the image and then let it dry for a bit.  Then I ran it thru my die cutting machine.  I love the small white border around the panel.
I added Nuvo drops to the first card and noticed after drying the color of the Oxide ink soaked into the color of the drops.  I used Buttermilk Nuvo drops on the card but they turned more orange.  I actually like how it looks so it was a good result in the end.

Products Used:

Stamps:  Altenew Striped Florals, Power Poppy Party Time, MFT Together Forever
Card stock:  Ellen Hutson Linen Card base A2, Amuse Studio Sugar for layer, Misc Scraps for word banners
Ink:  Versamark, Oxide Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber
Other:  White Embossing Powder, Mama Elephant All Prettied Up Die Set, Buttermilk Nuvo Drops, Fun Foam

Quick Cards

I started out wanting to use the champagne glass stickers that I bought the other day.  I hated to put them away and then never use them!  You know what I mean?  I think you could have a champagne toast for an Anniversary or a Wedding.  I found the notecards in my stash and used Amuse Studio Silver Shimmer paper to die cut the scalloped square.  I used the same layout for a few Graduation cards while I was at it! The graduation cap is from Papertrey Ink For The Graduate stamp set and I added the bravo sticker.

Wedding Day!

A fun wedding card with a lot of shimmer!  The black card stock paper strip is ⅝" wide and then I just cut a "v" to make it look like a tuxedo.  The bow tie is a stamp from the Build-A-Man set.
