WINTER WALK

There was coloring going on in the studio over the weekend.  I was inspired by Lost in Paper's video HERE.  I loved all the colors she used and it was nice to have it all figured out for me!

This stamp set called Winter Walk is from Penny Black.  I made a variety of cards with the same basic coloring then different layering elements.  The sentiments are  also by Penny Black. On the cream card base I did all the coloring and then ran it thru my die cutting machine with a falling snow embossing folder. 

I had to make one more and color in her jeans!  

I used the Catherine Pooler Mint to Be ink to blend some ink along the outer edges of the white panel.  I also added a bit of glitter to her stocking cap.  May your days be HAPPY, Your heart be LIGHT, Your Christmas MERRY & the New Year BRIGHT!

Snowman Rainbow Splash

I thought I should post this card before the rest of our snow melts!  Yay!  I saw this idea online and made an extra watercolor background to match the colors on the snowman's hat band.  Snowman stamp & die are from Taylored Expressions.  

WINTER GIRL

We have had lots of snow here in Iowa this winter.  Plenty of days that we needed boots and a warm drink!  I stamped the Winter Girl from Unity Stamps and colored the image with Copic markers.  I used a Stitched rectangle die for the frame.  I added the Altenew Dotted Swirl Debossing as an accent on the side of the card.  I'm loving that debossing plate & have been using it a lot for blank/white space for added interest.  The card base is a mini-slim size which is 3 1/2" x 6".  

  

Yes, we had close to 13" of snow last week!  ❄❅❆

It is really a lovely view when you are warm in your home and don't need to be anywhere!  

 

FRAMED SCENES

I love the simplicity of this card.  I used the Snowflake Pattern background stamp from Penny Black stamp with VersaColor Cement to stamp the snowflake background.  This small ink cube I have had in my collection for years and I was pleasantly surprised that it still had plenty of ink.  I die cut the snowflake pattern with the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die. I like the added detail with the stitching.  The snowmen are a retired set from Amuse Studio called Winter Wishes. I added just a bit of Copic coloring and this card is done.

Christmas Cards

My friend Doreen reminded me that I hadn't posted my hand stamped Christmas cards.  I went thru them all and found the ones from my creative friends & family!  

Snowman cards

I was inspired to create these cards from HERE.  I used a retired Amuse Studio stamp set Chill of Winter for the background snowman.  Don't you love the coffee cup in his hand?  I used a couple of snowmen from the MFT Christmas Cuteness stamp set that had matching dies for the focal snowmen.

Snowman Card

What a cute card made by the gals at Amuse Studio.  I love the use of the stitched circle & the mini bow die for a fun snowman card!

Card stock:  Sugar, Sky Hexagon

Ink:  Cherry, Bermuda, Wasabi, Memento Tuxedo Black, Onyx Versafine

Other:  Tag Bundle Die, Candy Wrappers, Vanilla Twine, Onyx Buttons, Tiny Attacher, Extra Small Treat Bag, Copic Multiliner, Copic Markers YR16 YR07

Die cut three smaller Candy Wrappers & Tag Bundle tag from Sugar card stock.  Mask and stamp the snowman face with Memento Black ink on one Sugar candy wrapper.  Enlarge the eyes of the snowman face and color with Copic Markers.  Wrap the chocolates and bag them.  

Stamp the sentiment with Onyx Versafine ink on the Sugar tag.  Cut a piece of Sky Hexagon card stock at 2" x 2 ½ " and score it on the 2" side at 1 ¼". Trim the top of the treat bag to 1" above the candies.  Fold Sky Hexagon card stock over the treat bag and staple with the tiny attacher.  Tie Vanilla twine around the bag topper, thread on tag and tie the bow.  

On Sugar card stock, stamp the hat three times using Cherry, Wasabi and Bermuda Inks.  Trim the Wasabi hat and mount to bag topper with two thicknesses of 3D Foam adhesive.  Trim the pom pom from Bermuda hat and brim from Cherry hat, adhere to the Wasabi hat.  Thread two small Onyx buttons with Vanilla twine and adhere to the bag with Mini glue dots.

Hello Snow!

Look what arrived in the mail on Wednesday!  I was so excited to see a package in my mailbox from Shari.  It is always something amazing using Amuse Studio products!  Check this out - it is a little wooden hinged fence decorated with the Flaky Friends snowmen along with the Fall in the Forest critters.  She created a scene with the tree tag die and landscape set.  Thank you Shari for once again being so creative - I love it!  

Gift Card Holder

I made this fun Gift Card holder with my Silhouette.  I was inspired by the snowflakes on the Michael's gift card and I thought it should all match!  

Square Snowflake Treat

This darling little snowflake treat is quick and easy to make for your winter themed party!

Other:  Die cutting machine, Nestabilities Standard Circles Large Die Set, Bone folder, 1" circle punch, Snowflake Trio 2 Die Set, Mini glue dots, Silver sequins

Cutting Instructions:

Bermuda Polka Dot card stock 3 ¼" x 3 ¼" (4 pieces for circle die cuts)

Bermuda Polka Dot card stock scrap for 1" circle punch

Radiant White Vellum 2 ½" x 2 ½" for snowflake die cut

Die cut 4 circles from the Bermuda Polka dot card stock.  Use a medium size circle (approx. 2 ¾") from the Nestabilities Standard Circles Large die set.  Score each circle die cut down the center using a bone folder and straight edge. Create a square with the 4 circles, overlapping at each corner.  Adhere overlapping corners together to create a square base.  

Punch a 1" circle from a small piece of Bermuda Polka dot card stock.  Place a small square-shaped treat/chocolate in the center of the square.  Enclose the treat inside by overlapping the folder circles.  Adhere 1" circle cut-out to the center to close and the seal the top.  

Die cut the medium sized snowflake from paper-weight vellum.  Adhere snowflake to the center of the 1" circle.  Use a mini glue dot to add a silver sequin to the center of the snowflake.
