FALL FEELING!

I put together a card pack for a friend.  I wanted a Fall assortment of cards which I found in my stash.  

All these cards have a fall feel with the oranges and yellows.  I 🧡 Fall!

HAPPY NOVEMBER!

I love these beautiful Fall colors!  The new Harvest Hues layering stencils from Taylored Expressions are so pretty.  I followed Heather Nichols choice of ink colors.  

A little splatter never hurt anyone....

My completed cards - I did mostly follow the card design from Heather Nichols.  I used the Burlap embossing folder for the background on Latte card stock.  I love the colors of Fall so these were right up my alley!

FALLING FOR YOU!

I followed along with the Taylored Expressions video with Susan Block to make the Falling for You Triple Slim.  I had all the supplies to do it so figured it was a good time to make a birthday card for a friend's fall birthday in October.  Happy Birthday Doreen!

Here are the other two cards that I made with the Triple Slim Falling for You.  You can't see the pretty foiling but it adds so much!

QUILT SQUARES

I've been excited to ink up this Taylored Expressions Quilt Squares layering stencil.  I followed a video that Taylor did on You tube.  I do love the Fall colors.  

I turned the Quilt Squares into six cards.  I haven't added the sentiments yet - I may just wait until I'm ready to use the card to add the greeting.  

AWESOME AUTUMN

I love Fall colors.  I bought this Awesome Autumn stencil and die cut set from Taylored Expressions last Fall and just used it for the first time.  It is a quick and easy way to get lots of pretty leaves and acorns.  I followed what Heather Nichols did on her video with the tags.  The card is also from her inspiration.  

POSTAGE STAMP DIES

I made these cards last Fall.  They were a big hit with a couple of my card making friends.  They were both very excited about this fun card making design.  I think we call it "influencing or enabling".  They both own them now!  It happens to all of us.  

The die comes from Waffle Flower called Postage Collage Die for A2 cards.  There are stencils that you can purchase as well to fill each of the areas.  In this case, I used patterned paper that I have had in my stash for years.  It was too beautiful to use but for this it was perfect!  

Many companies, including Waffle Flower have the postage themed stamps.  I picked this one up at Hobby Lobby and didn't even realize until I got home that Cincinnati was one of the postal cancellations in the set.  My friends in Cincinnati were excited about this find!

FOUR SEASONS - FALL COLORS

Another round of Taylored Expression Four Seasons stamp & stencil combo.  This time I started with Taylored Expressions Toffee card stock and stamped the branches with TE Mocha ink.  I stenciled the leaves & flower using TE ink colors - Pumpkin, Olive, Dijon & Blue Corn.  

I sprayed Gold Glimmer Mist over top of this fall Background.  The picture below shows it a bit better.  I decided to only do it on one panel because it really doesn't show up that much on the Toffee card stock.

Up close you can see the shimmer.  

Here are the 4 cards I made with the Four Seasons backgrounds.  I used various sentiments on the cards.

 

THANKFUL

Ok, one more Taylored Expressions Fall foiling card.  All the same colors as yesterday just a different sentiment from Amuse Studio Give Thanks stamp set stamped with Pinecone ink.  Now just you wait until you see the Christmas Foil It cards - they are ahhhmazing!

THANKFUL GRATEFUL BLESSED

HAPPY NOVEMBER!  More Fall foiling.  I colored the berries with Copic markers and then did ink blending on the leaves.  I really like the color combination of this one! 

I used the Glimmer machine to foil the sentiment and then die cut it with a circle die.  I also used the Taylored Expressions stitched rectangle to cut out the Foil It panel.  I added a layer of dark brown card stock and attached it to a mini slimline Toffee card base.   

FALL SEASONAL SPRIG

This card design was inspired by Heather Nichols at Taylored Expressions.  She did this VIDEO and used Fall colors for the Taylored Expressions Seasonal Sprig Foil It panels.  I started by running the Foil It panel thru my laminator with gold foil.  I colored the panel with Copic markers.  I used white & brown splatters on the panel.  I really wanted to try to see if I could add the additional foiling with my Glimmer machine.  I did the "hinge" method with the Spellbinders Thankful Grateful Blessed hot foil plate.  I was a bit afraid that the other foiling might be damaged with the additional heat but it turned out beautifully!   

No overfoiling, oh yeah!  👍  I was so excited to see that this worked.

Here is another Fall themed Mini slimline card.  I Copic colored the orange berries and ink blended the leaves with the coordinating stencil.  I added splatter. The thinking of you sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments & matching dies. I added foam tape on the back of the panel & attached it to a Toffee Mini slimline card base.  

FALL Y'ALL

I had my Book Club group here for lunch yesterday.  I couldn't resist using my leaf die cuts to add a Fall flare to my table.  I bought the paper napkins at Target and then coordinated my colors of leaves to somewhat match.  The little white pumpkins I bought at our local nursery.  The leaf is from The Stamp Market called Large Leaves Die.  I attached them to the stems of the pumpkins with hot glue.

I bought the bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes and then added the die cut leaves.  This die is from Lawn Fawn called Stitched Leaves.  I just used glue dots to attach the leaf die to the toothpicks.  Very easy but so cute for Fall.  

FOUR SEASONS - FALL FOILING

Here are the Taylored Expressions Four Seasons Foil It panels that I made into cards.  I ran the panel through my laminator using a variety of foils - gold & copper.  There are 4 stencils that you place over the foiled panel and I used blending brushes to add the color - I chose Fall Taylored Expressions inks.  The sentiments I used are from Amuse Studio Turkey Day & Amuse Studio Let Us Be Thankful.  The stitched banner die is Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2.  

I took a few close up pictures so you can see the shimmer from the foiling.  It's really pretty and I have been enjoying this technique, it's so fun!

FOUR SEASONS

This Four Seasons stamp & stencil combo was included in the cost of the Taylored Expressions card class at Stamp Joy 2021.  The Foil It panels I purchased separately.  There are so many options with this set and as its' name says you can color in the leaves using colors to create for all Four Seasons!  

Here are the cards we made in our class.  We had four different teachers for the four cards.  This was one of my favorite things from Stamp Joy 2021.

I wanted to experiment with different colors when I got home, so I foiled several panels.  I used the coordinating stencils to add the ink colors.  This panel was a Christmas theme, I only used 3 ink colors and left one branch uncolored.

I thought this one was going to be Christmas colors but it really didn't turn out that way? What do you think?

Fall colors - it's so pretty with the shine from the foiling.  

On this panel I picked a different shade of green.  Once you get started doing this foiling with the stencils you get addicted to them and you can't stop!  I'll be adding a sentiment to these panels and making them into cards. 

ALCOHOL INKS

Playing with something new - alcohol inks.  I picked up a few alcohol inks at Michael's with a coupon in Fall colors.  I watched a video and wanted to try this technique.  This pretty leaf die is from Stamp Market called Botanical Beauty.  

I was able to use photo paper for my background paper - and I have a ton of 4x6 photo paper so this was a win-win.  I mixed fall colors of alcohol inks and came up with some pretty backgrounds.  I die cut the leaf out of shiny gold card stock and the alcohol backgrounds.  I glued down the thin gold leaf "frame" first & then inset the various leaf pieces into the design with glue.  The results were lots of shine and pretty blended colors.    

Each one turns out different - so pretty!

FALL SHINE!

This Fall card is all glitter & foil!  I started with the Striped Background hot foiled in silver on black card stock.  The oak leaf (gold glitter) is from Taylored Expressions Stitched leaves & the other frond (copper glitter) is from Studio Light Wonderful Autumn.  The Thanks die was a freebie with a Taylored Expressions order a few years ago.  

IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS

All things Fall lately.  I added the pumpkins from Essentials by Ellen Got Candy stamp set to the Taylored Expressions Diamond Botanical with Gina K sentiment. It's nice when we all play together, right?   

FALL IS IN THE AIR

I spent time adding a bit of ink blending to some leaves that I had already die cut a while ago.  The ink you add really brings the leaves added dimension.  I have a habit of die cutting things and then tucking them away for future use. 😉 It's good thing and bad thing.  After doing the ink blending, I decided to use some of the leaves to make a few fall cards.  Leaves from from various companies including Studio Light, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions & My Favorite Things.

I used embossing folders to add some interest to the lower part of the card.  These leaves are all so pretty and fun to make a Fall arrangement.

I used Taylored Expressions Harvest Sentiment strips for my greetings.
