TRIANGLE SANTA

I couldn't resist this cute little Santa die from Simon Says Stamp.  

I made a few ornaments out of the triangle Santa. 

So far these are just tags but could easily be made into cards.  

BIG POINSETTIAS

I love these big poinsettia cards.  The Combo is from Concord & 9th Kristina Werner's Winter Greenery stamp, stencils and dies.  

 

MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Quick and easy card!

I saved this from a Christmas card I received last year.  I just love the pretty background paper.  I cut it out with a rectangle stitched die and put it on a green card base.  I added the Taylored Expressions sentiment strips and it's ready to reuse!

 

FOREST FIR

I ordered these craft kits from Concord & 9th.  There are three trees that you put together.  There is a video to follow and it's super simple!

Getting started - video is ready.  Begin with getting the dowel in the wood base.  Next curl all the boughs.  Then start layering the different sizes of the boughs with a spacer in between.  My first tree is the Forest Fir.  

So pretty and realistic looking!  This is the smallest of the three trees.  I'll post when I get the other two completed!

WATERCOLOR HOLIDAY TAGS

I had fun with these Taylored Expressions Watercolor Holiday Tags.  Some of these I made last year when I received the tags & dies in the TE Advent calendar.  I also made a couple of cards using the tags. I bought another set of the panels and enjoyed coloring them on a cloudy, grey day!

I decided to color the berries in a pretty orange for Fall.  The other tag I blended ink on it after I did the watercoloring.  They are so pretty!  

COFFEE and CARDMAKING!

Coffee and card making makes it a good day!  I started with a watercolor background first a blue one and another one with a rainbow pattern.  I die cut a few trees with black card stock and splattered a bit of white on the background and the trees.  I found a few sentiments that I already had ready to go.  

PRETTY POINSETTIAS

A few more cards using the Taylored Expressions Garden Variety Poinsettia die set.  The sentiment is Taylored Expressions Mini to Mighty Christmas. I used the TE Sketched Plaid embossing folder for the background.  

POINSETTIAS

I had some leftover die cuts from my Taylored Expressions card project so I wanted to try the poinsettias in the rustic pail.

SLEIGH ALL DAY

Getting started on this sleigh card from Taylored Expressions.  A whole lotta die cutting to make this one!  I used my new Empress mini and it made all the die cutting so much fun!  I followed Heather Nichols card design and colors from her blog post.  

After the die cutting, we go to the splatter box.  I splattered with white & dark brown on all the pieces and parts.  

A little drying time and I'm ready to assemble!

All the products are from Taylored Expressions.  The Holiday Greenery Product Bundle included Garden Variety Holiday Greenery Die set, Garden Variety Poinsettia Die Set, Sleigh All Day Die Set, Mini to Mighty Christmas stamp & die set.  I used the Taylored Expressions Tiny Twinkles Embossing Folder for the Latte layer.  The card stock colors were Cherry Pop, Honey, Latte, Toffee, Sweet Basil, Green Tea, Brussels Sprout and Gold.  

Foiled Mistletoe Quad

I used the new Taylored Expressions Mistletoe Quad Foil Its with coordinating dies to make these cards.  I used Champagne foil for the Mistletoe and also for the sentiments.  I used the TE Tiny Twinkles Embossing Folder and the Berry Branch die.  The sentiments are also from Taylored Expressions.

THE GREETERY

When I saw this release from The Greetery a few years ago I couldn't help myself.  I absolutely had to recreate this look with the citrus slices.  I didn't take a picture of the completed projects but I used them as tags on a Christmas gift.  I still love the look of these and will definitely make more.  

 

SEASON'S GREETINGS IN MAY!

This stencil from Hero Arts called Geometric Holiday was used for my card today.  I was feeling like a little Christmas card would be fun!  Simple stenciling with a couple of shades of red & green and a simple sentiment.  

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Christmas Word Mix 1.  

Book Club 2024

 

I thought I would share the pretty packaging that I used at Christmas to gift a book to each of my Book Club friends.  I was able to get the copies autographed by the author and he put in a personal message to each of the ladies.  I bought the wreaths and the feathers at Hobby Lobby.

IMMENSE JOY

I started out with lots of die cuts. More than this actually...I made 8 cards using this design.  

Assembly was pretty easy - I die cut two JOY words out of black card stock & glued them together for a bit of dimension.  I die cut 1 Holly leaf out of green card stock & then ink blended with green ink for the leaves & brown for the stem. For the berries there are 3 different berry dies and I cut them each once & ink blended with a dark red ink.  I tucked the holly branch under the JOY words.  I added thin foam squares to the back of the holly leaves.

MISTLETOE QUAD

This Taylored Expressions Mistletoe Quad stencil is so fun.  It makes four different card fronts after you get done stenciling.  And look at the pretty results!

I stenciled five pages of these colors and ended up with a total of 20 Christmas cards.  I figured I might as well do several while I have the stencils inked up.  I added various sentiments on each card with different layering as well.  I just love how they turned out - very fun to make as well!
