A Warm Hello from Dodo...

I received this card in the mail the other day from Doreen.  She said that she bought the notecards at Target & the bird stamp was from the $1 bin.  I love how she matched the colors of the card when she colored the birds.  Very nice!

Tying the knot...

I bought the square flourish decorative stickers at Archiver's in their Hot Spot area.  The colors are perfect for a wedding card.  I like the ivory & soft gold together.  I added the pearls to the centers of each square.   So elegant!

Sympathy Cards

I don't often make Sympathy cards but I saw this idea at my local Stamp Store.  I used the My Sentiments Exactly Sympathy Rubz.  The Cuttlebug embossing folder called Plants kept the cards simple.

Simple, Simple!

Here is a fast card to make for a birthday.  I bought this sheet of stickers with the cake on them.  I stamped "have a fabulous birthday" on the sticker.  I did just one layer of dark orange paper, added some ribbon & the card was done!  I used vellum with birthday hats on it for the envelope liner.

Thanks!

Thanks Rick for all the work you did to make the Guys Golf Weekend a huge hit!  They had such a good time & appreciate you for accommodating them with food, drinks, golf, cigars, drinks, food, cigars, golf, drinks & lots of laughs!  I used my Grillin' Guy clear stamp set by My Favorite Things to make this card.  I personalized it with a Hawkeye sticker on the apron.

Purse Card By Colleen!

I had a nice email from Colleen saying that I inspired her to use the K&Company Purse Stickers that I featured on my blog last week.  She made a Thank You card for her Mom.  Colleen came up with a little different layout using the K&Company purse sticker &  she fancied up the card a bit with ribbon, punches and crystals.  Very nice in Aqua & Teal!

Perpetual Calendar

This was a free download from AMuse Art Stamps a while ago on their blog.  It is template for a Perpetual Birthday Calendar.  You can write in all your birthdays/anniversaries for each month.  I printed out their Calendar Tag Book pages & punched them out with the Xtra Giga Tag Punch.  The celebrate words are Rub-ons.  This would be handy to carry in your purse or have in your studio where you make your cards to keep track of all those special dates!

Getting ready...

Here is one of the cards we will be making next week during our Girls Weekend!  We found these notecards at a Hallmark store in Jonesboro & I just love the vibrant pink ribbon in combination with the black circles.  I used a simple Birthday Circle Greetings by Stampendous stamped in black ink & then colored in the candles with a pink marker.
I found this set at Michael's marked down to $3.74!

Poppy Bottles!

This is a stamp set from Stampendous called Poppy Bottles & I'm a big fan of poppies!  The flowers were fun to stamp - you can add your leaves & the droopy poppy in the bottle if you want.  I also like the fact that it has the solid image for the poppy & you can ink it up rather than coloring.  I did one card that way & the other I colored in with a marker.
I bought this dragonfly punch at Michael's with a coupon a few weeks ago!

In Bloom!

This Technique Tuesday In Bloom set was so much fun to play with.  I stamped the stems & leaves in green ink & then had fun filling in the flower heads in a pretty coral color ink.  The butterfly even has an outline & a solid that you can use to add color.  Very fun little set!

Sweet Friend!

The Swirly Cone & the words To A Sweet Friend are by AMuse Art Stamps.
I stamped the ice cream cone on ivory cardstock.  I colored the ice cream cone with markers.  I used the Mega Scalloped Rectangle to punch out the brown scalloped edge.  The words are stamped directly on the card & I added ribbon to the top of the Pink Kitchen Dot Card also by AMuse!

I couldn't wait to use my new clear set called Long Stemmed Sentiments by Technique Tuesday.  I purchased this at the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Des Moines on Friday!  I really enjoyed checking out all the booths and will plan to attend next year!  The Kitchen Green Polka Dot card is by AMuse Art Stamps.  I paper pieced the vase to give it a little interest & dimension.  Simple but cute!

Our niece/god daughter turns 3 years old today!  I can't tell you how much fun I had shopping for her & putting things in her little beach bag.  I found a darling bathing suit, a beach towel, beach ball, snacks & a few water toys!  She is ready for a day at the pool or beach this summer!
