Happy Flowers!

All the cardstock is by Papertrey Ink (Kraft, Pure Poppy & White Stampers Select).  I stamped the Polka Dots Basics Background on Kraft cardstock using Fresh Snow ink.  The flowers are from Hero Arts Blossoms (AR132) which I believe is an Archiver's exclusive set.  I stamped & embossed the flowers in black & then cut them out.  I used Copic markers to color them in.  The Happy Birthday words are by Amuse.  I used the Stardust Clear Gelly Roll pen for the added sparkle to color in "happy".  The ribbon is red satin by Yours Truly from Archiver's.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

This is a very old PSX stamp that I have not used in years. I was a big fan of PSX stamps when I started stamping over 12 years ago. After doing a little google search I found out that PSX is no longer in business.  Anyway, I wanted to get out an old stamp & give it a try coloring with my Copic Markers. It was fun trying to use different shades of brown on the rabbit. The cardstock is Terracotta Tile by Papertrey Ink & the other color is Memory Box Jack O Lantern card. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Textile Texture). The ribbon is Bitty Dots in Terracotta Tile by Papertrey Ink.

Go Buckeyes!

Cheering for the Basketball Buckeyes in tonight's game against Tennessee.  GO BUCKEYES!!

My little Road Trip!

I had a fun day yesterday with an impromptu trip to the Quad Cities with my husband.  I was able to visit Cottage Corner at their new location in Bettendorf.  They remembered me when I walked in & even had a punch card in the file they had saved for me!!

I took a drive thru the old neighborhood & found Turnberry Lane looking pretty much the same!
Sorry for the blurry picture.  This is a new scrapbook store at least "new" since we lived there.  It is called Scrapaganza in Davenport.

And take a look at our rental car - BIG RED TRUCK!  I could not believe it when Jerry arrived to pick me up & he was driving a big red pick up truck with Nebraska plates.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - THE GOODS!!

I bought some miscellaneous patterned paper, a Martha Stewart border punch, a Hero Arts Cling Background, 3 different Cuttlebug embossing folders, I found a Bella on clearance, a Hero Arts swirly stamp & a little Easter bunny.  It was a fun day for me!

Paper Inspiration

I just loved this piece of patterned paper by My Mind's Eye called Quite Contrary.  Mostly I loved the row of birds but the umbrellas & flowers are cute too!  The patterned paper in rows is perfect for card making.  You can just cut it into borders & it makes for a simple & quick card.

I added an edge of red to bird border & red ribbon.  I used my Martha Stewart punch border at the bottom.  The words hello are from Papertrey Ink Mega Mixed Messages

Bitty Baby Blessings

I think I have mentioned that this Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set by Papertrey Ink is among my favorites!  I just love the simple designs.  I used Aqua Mist & Spring Moss cardstock by Papertrey Ink to make the card bases.  I used patterned paper from Everyday Blessings by Papertrey Ink.  I realized that the ribbon by Yours Truly that Archiver's carries matches perfectly.  The color called Pool compliments Aqua Mist & Chartreuse matches Spring Moss.  It is a narrow satin ribbon that was perfect for these cards.

Magenta Style!

Another stamp I have had for years was my inspiration for today.  The flower is by Magenta Rubber Stamps.  I used Encore Champagne Metallic Ink & thought it was a very pretty outcome.  All the words are from the Damask Designs by Papertrey Ink.

Fern Leaf...

This is a new stamp that Hero Arts just came out with for Spring.  It is interesting because I have an old old set of Hero Arts leaves that I found in my stash that is similair to this stamp.  I was inspired to use it even though it is slightly different.

The cardstock is by Bazzill, not sure the color name but it is the orange peel texture.  I used Vintage Cream cardstock by Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the Hero Arts fern in two shades of green ink.  The label shape is QuicKutz Cookie Cutter Nesting Label 3-026 (the smallest one) & the other is Nestabilities Labels Trio.  I die cut & embossed both labels.  The Happy Birthday To You words are from Damask Designs by Papertrey Ink & the Thank You words are Hero Arts CL341.  Ribbon is Ripe Avocado satin by Papertrey Ink.

This is the old set I have by Hero Arts from years ago.  What is old is new again...

The Road to the House of a Friend...

These cards I made for two friends that recently moved.  I used the new Hero Arts Row of Houses & stamped only 4 of the 6 houses using Dark Brown Chalk ink.  I typed the addresses for their new homes on the computer & printed them out.  I punched them out with my Word Window punch by Stampin' UP.  I'm still loving that Leaf Flourish also by Hero Arts.

Time to get out the Spring Decor...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Top O' The Morning to ya!  I had fun making St. Pat's Day cards this year.  I used Papertrey's New Leaf cardstock for the card base.  I used my favorite Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots on the white cardstock at the top & bottom of the card.  The cursive happy words are from Stampin Up Happy Everything.  The St. Patrick's Day words are from a clear set of Hero Arts called Happy Greetings (CL130).  I found the shamrock stamp at Joann's for $1 - love a bargain!  The polka dot ribbons are Papertrey Swiss Dots & Bitty Dots.  A special shout out to my Irish friends, Doreen & Colleen!

Green Beer for Everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Cards from Friends...

On Monday I received all 4 of these fabulous St. Patrick's Day cards from my stamping friends!  Thank you everyone for making my day!
A fun Birthday Card for our niece.  I love the Orange Zest & Hibiscus Burst color combination by Papertrey Ink.  The colors were a perfect match with the cupcake patterned paper.  I used a QuicKutz Embossing Folder called Diamonds & Dots (EF-A2-008) for the Orange Zest layer.  The ribbon is Hibiscus Burst Twill ribbon by Papertrey Ink.  I added a few gem stones to a few cupcakes & on each side of the words.  Birthday Wishes is by Hero Arts Birthday Messages (CL139) & then I punched out the words with Stampin' UP's Modern Label Punch.

Damask Designs

I just love the Damask Designs Set from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped the large Damask with black ink on Ivory cardstock.  The clear image is easy to line up & make your own background paper.  I added a layer of black on the ivory layer & attached it to a Kraft card.  The Happy Anniversary words are from the same set.  I put a few black gemstones on the card as well for added detail.  Elegant & classy don't you think?
